玩音樂對於一組樂團/創作人的定義為何？賺錢？興趣？成名？發洩情緒？對於Hard-Fi而言，他們想要功成名就，且要大紅特紫，不甘只是區區居於地下獨立樂團，搞心酸的唱給台下只有小貓兩三隻的樂迷聽。相信每一位音樂人都希望自己有一天站在舞台上飆歌時，台下擠滿成千上萬的聽眾，並與之高聲唱合，那種直接的感動，就是一位音樂人最實質的認同與鼓勵。

來自英國的Hard-Fi雖然是組名副其實的搖滾樂團，但是他們卻寧願被拿來與Eminem(阿姆)相提並論，不僅認為阿姆是位舉世聞名的超級巨星，更能夠誠實做自己，將心中不滿全然宣洩！樂團靈魂人物Richard Archer從Hip-Hop/Rap到House至Dub及Reggae樂種，無不涉獵聆聽賞玩，同時也覺得現在搞音樂，只要學會三個和絃就可以做一首歌，家裡有台電腦就可以完成整張專輯，理所當然的Richard也不落人後，趁著年輕好奇精力旺盛與學習性強，努力組織起屬於自己的超級樂團！隨後鼓手Steve Kemp、吉他手Ross Phillips與貝斯手Kai Stephens相繼入團，2002年Hard-Fi終告羽化成型！

積極進入創作與默契培養階段，沒錢又沒管道的Hard-Fi，在2004年，以克難的方式花了300英鎊的花費，完成獨立發行500張EP「Stars Of CCTV」，俐落的搖滾力道，充滿活力的搖滾興味及80年代討喜的音樂風格，立刻被搶購一空，成為搖滾界最受矚目且毫不受馴服的耀眼新貴，實正他們可是貨真價實具有兩把刷子的樂團！終在2005年藉由華納音樂集團全力護航，正式簽約發行推上國際舞台首張完整大碟「Stars Of CCTV」！
